This typewriter was used for many years in a local convent.  The nuns, who used to run a Catholic grade school, used it regularly to type personal letters, church bulletins, school correspondence as well as the weekly school newsletter.  The newsletter was then printed on a mimeograph machine. In it, every week, the sisters would advertise their weekly Friday sale of Candied Apples. Which, they sold at the school to students fortunate enough to get the extra money from their parents..
